Ross Building was established in 2013 by Des Ross, bringing decades of industry expertise to the Northern Beaches building landscape.
Des entered the building industry straight from high school and holds both a Certificate III in Carpentry and Joinery and a Certificate IV in Building & Construction. His passion for the trade was sparked early, introduced to carpentry by his father – a skilled carpenter whose love for working with timber has surrounded Des since childhood.
Throughout his career, Des has collaborated with dedicated teams of master carpenters, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge. A career highlight was working under renowned builder David Watson on prestigious Stutchbury-designed projects, where he honed his craft alongside some of the industry’s finest.
These experiences have shaped Des’s approach to leadership, teaching him to build strong, trusting relationships with both clients and team members. His hands-on background ensures he understands every aspect of the building process, from foundation to finish.
Today, the Ross Building team comprises experienced carpenters, dedicated apprentices, and skilled administrative staff. Des’s commitment to investing in his team creates a cohesive unit that consistently delivers exceptional results, ensuring every project reflects the quality craftsmanship that defines Ross Building.
